Colocasia ‘Coal Miner’ – Dramatic Dark Foliage Elephant Ear
Colocasia ‘Coal Miner’ is prized for its large, deep charcoal-purple leaves with a velvety finish that add bold drama to garden beds, borders, or containers. The lush, heart-shaped leaves create a striking contrast against green foliage plants, while sturdy stems support an upright, clumping growth habit.
This variety can grow 48–60 inches tall, thriving in rich, consistently moist soil. It performs best in full sun to part shade and will show its deepest coloration in brighter light. Suitable for use at pond edges or in large containers for a tropical statement.
