Blueberry ‘Pink Lemonade’ – Sweet Pink Berries for Southern Gardens
Blueberry ‘Pink Lemonade’ brings a fun twist to the edible garden with berries that ripen to a beautiful deep pink instead of blue. The fruit is sweet, colorful, and perfect for fresh eating, baking, desserts, and garden snacking. This unique blueberry also adds ornamental value, with pinkish-white spring flowers, glossy green foliage, bright fall color, and attractive reddish winter stems.
One of the biggest advantages of ‘Pink Lemonade’ is its low chill-hour requirement, meaning it does not need a long, cold winter to set fruit. That makes it a great choice for many Southern gardens and other mild-winter areas where traditional high-chill blueberries may struggle to produce reliably.
‘Pink Lemonade’ grows best in full sun to part sun with moist, well-drained, acidic soil. It is considered self-fertile, so one plant can produce fruit, but planting another blueberry variety nearby can improve yield and berry size.
